On May 2nd 2013, the Wake Chapter of the Autism Society of N.C. recognized Knightdale Elementary's  Elisha Dalton, the lead teacher of the year for  pre-k Autism, and Cris Romero-Fredes as the pre-k Autism teaching assistant of the year.  Way to go girls for your outstanding effort to create and maintain an awesome pre-k AU class!

Congratulations as Kim Glover, first grade teacher assistant won Teacher Assistant for Knightdale Elementary!  Mrs. Glover has been at Knightdale Elementary for over 10 years and has been a great asset to the students and staff at Knightdale Elementary.

Special's Night and Science Fair

READ ACROSS AMERICA

Students at Knightdale Elementary celebrated Read Across America. Students read Fox in Socks and wore their crazy socks on Tuesday.  On Wednesday students read Crazy Hair Day and wore their craziest hair.  On Thursday, students gave back to the community and brought canned foods in as well as reading Green Eggs and Ham.  On Friday students dressed as their favorite characters and an epidemic broke out among the staff as a lot of teachers caught "A Bad Case of Stripes".
